Monthly Quad Tournaments

Elite Team
Welcome to the Berkeley Bishops! The Berkeley Bishops is an elite team of players that will train together, attend private matches against other teams, and compete for BCS in theCalchess Spring State Championship. The goal of the Bishops is to create a group of kids that want to improve their chess and join a team of other kids interested in more than just our regular after school & BFN sessions. Bishops must be BCS Students, and have at least 6 months of chess experience. Registration link at the bottom of this page.
Weekly Chess
We offer a great Friday Night Chess program in Berkeley, Mountain House, San Ramon and Walnut Creek. The program is two hours each night and includes a class and a USCF rated tournament, a current USChess membership is required.
The San Ramon and Mountain House locations will offer intermediate and advanced level classes. There is not a novice class at these locations. All participants must have previous chess experience. In Berkeley and Walnut Creek, in addition to intermediate and advanced classes, we will offer a novice class and beginners are welcome.
For all Friday night programs, all students must have completed kindergarten. All young students will be accepted on a provisional basis.
We offer an early bird discount if you register early. The discount will end at midnight the Sunday before the first day of class.
